Steeping Instructions for Green Tea

Step 1

Heat fresh, cold water in a kettle or pan. Avoid using previously boiled water or distilled water, as they can affect the taste of the tea.

For a standard cup (150 ml), use about 2 grams of loose green tea leaves. Add Tea Leaves to the Teapot or Infuser by placing the measured tea leaves into your teapot or tea infuser. Make sure the container is clean and suitable for steeping

Pour the hot water (temperature: 160-180°F or 70-82°C) over the tea leaves. Green tea is more delicate compared to other teas, so using water that is too hot can result in a bitter taste.

Step 4

Let the tea steep for about 2-3 minutes.

Once the tea has steeped for the desired time, strain the tea leaves or remove the infuser from the teapot to stop the steeping process. This helps prevent the tea from becoming too strong or bitter.
